Our team at Lynchburg Dental Center offers services in all areas of family dentistry from restorative to cosmetic procedures. These services include dental hygiene, sealants, fillings, extractions, veneers, implants, dentures, teeth whitening, and Invisalign®. We are committed to providing the services you need with the expertise you deserve—ensuring a confident, healthy smile.
Dental Implants
We take pride in offering full or partial mouth restorations by utilizing implants placed within the comfort of our office. If you were to lose one or more of your natural teeth, you can continue to live confidently with implants.
Unlike dentures and bridgework, implants are a solution proven to last for many years. They look and feel like your natural teeth, and eliminate the worry of slipping or coming loose. Our BioHorizons dental implants are clinically proven through some of the most thorough research in the industry.
Teeth Whitening
Teeth whitening is used to lighten stains or discolorations. The treatment can be done in the office or at home using custom fabricated trays and a bleaching material. It is important to have home bleaching progress checked with regular office visits.
Teeth whitening provides a more attractive and brighter smile with safe and predictable results when properly performed. Modern teeth whitening procedures are safe and can be repeated periodically to maintain a dazzling white smile.
Family Dentistry
We encourage parents to schedule a child’s first dental appointment by age four. Young children are typically excited about their first visit to the dental office. As your child matures, treatment is expanded to include dental cleanings, x-rays, fluoride treatments, and sealants. Regular checkups usually catch cavities when they are small and allow for early orthodontic intervention if needed.
Routine dental examinations and checkups are keys to good oral health. Therefore, it’s imperative that children are started young, and taught the importance of maintaining routine dental care.
Dental Hygiene
A healthy smile can last a lifetime with proper care, including daily brushing, flossing, and regular checkups to avoid tooth decay and periodontal disease. Healthy gums and good bone support is the foundation for good dental health. Routine dental checkups can provide early diagnosis and effective treatment of gum disease.
Gum disease is caused by bacteria and advanced by a variety of factors including calculus (tartar), smoking, diet, and bruxism (grinding or clenching of teeth). We stress patient education and proactive care to maintain good oral health.
Nitrous Oxide Administration
For highly anxious patients and or surgical procedures, we offer nitrous oxide administration. A medical history and physical will be performed in-office to screen all interested patients.
Breath Management
The impact of a beautiful smile can be minimized if accompanied by bad breath. We offer BreathRx professional breath management products to assist our patients in achieving optimal results.
Cosmetic Dentistry
Cosmetic dentistry includes metal-free crowns and bridges for their natural appearance. Beautiful porcelain inlays in posterior teeth (instead of silver fillings) and porcelain veneers on anterior teeth eliminate any visible evidence of tooth repair–ensuring a confident, healthy smile.
Root Canals and Extractions
Root canals and tooth extractions are two procedures we use to treat severely damaged or infected teeth. We offer patients the convenience of either option, both being completed in our office. Ask your dentist which choice is the best for you.
Restorative Dentistry
Restorative Dentistry is a term we use to explain procedures used to replace missing or damaged teeth. We offer common restorative options such as veneers, fillings, crowns (caps), and bridges. Additionally, we provide options for dentures and implants if needed.
Dentures & Partials
Sometimes a patient’s teeth are beyond repair and need to be removed to avoid further decay or infection. Full and partial dentures are considered Removable Prosthodontic Dentistry. Our team gently helps patients work through the teeth extraction and denture fitting process.
Invisalign®
We are a certified Invisalign® provider. Using the iTero Element® scanner, we take a precise 3D digital scan of your teeth and map out a custom treatment plan to move misaligned teeth into place. Treatments include fitting patients with a clear aligner to eliminate the need for traditional metal or clear braces. The aligners are adjusted after a period of time to achieve the desired effect.
